The Women in AMIA Committee will be hosting a 90-minute Mentoring Event during the AMIA 2023 Annual Symposium.
This event provides an opportunity for informaticists who identify as women to connect with those of similar interest to discuss career development.
We are seeking mentors who identify as women at all stages of career development life cycle. Mentor responsibilities include attending one or two 45 minute meetings with mentees.
We are also seeking mentees who identify as women at all stages of career development life cycle. Mentee responsibilities include attending one or two 45 minutes meetings with mentors. Please come prepared with relevant questions.
You may be matched with a mentor that is the same (peer to peer) or higher level (hierarchical) than you indicate. Peer mentoring is an effective career development approach typically involving an exchange of knowledge and skills.
If you have any questions, please email Dr. Polina Kukhareva (email@example.com) or Ms. Laura Barrett (firstname.lastname@example.org).
In order to participate, you must be registered to attend the AMIA 2023 Annual Symposium in person.
