AMIA is a leader in advancing clinical informatics practice in health care delivery. The organization was instrumental in bringing the subspecialty certification from idea in 2005 to reality in 2013 when the first board exam was administered and the first cohort of 456 physicians became diplomates. Today, AMIA is the home for 1000+ AMIA member physicians Certified in the Medical Subspecialty of Clinical Informatics.

AMIA invested more than $2.5 million in resources to develop and launch the Clinical Informatics Board Review Course Live and On-demand. CIBRC is the premier education prep for future diplomates.
