AMIA is the professional home for clinical informatics and physicians Certified in the Medical Subspecialty of Clinical Informatics. The Physicians in AMIA group leads and represents the professional interests of all CI Diplomates.
The Nominating Committee’s primary function is to ensure the effective and appropriate involvement of AMIA members in the organization through the annual election process.
The Governance Committee informs and leads the evolution of AMIA’s organizational structure and governance, with an emphasis on achieving optimal structure and operational processes to achieve AMIA’s strategic goals.
The AMIA Finance and Investment Committee is a fiduciary committee responsible for ensuring sound financial management practices are applied within AMIA.
The purpose of the AMIA Advancement (ADV) Committee is to ensure the effective and appropriate involvement of AMIA members in governance and non-governance leadership activities, such as those associated with Councils, Working Groups, and Task Forces.
The LFAC leads the ongoing development and activities of the LEAD Fund and reports directly to the AMIA Board of Directors. The LEAD Fund is an initiative focused on creating a robust and sustainable fundraising program for AMIA.
E2R Education, Governance, and Policy Subcommittee
E2R Education, Governance, and Policy Subcommittee builds E2R practices into AMIA’s internal structures and policies; support E2R member education activities; and external partner benchmarking.
E2R Advancement of Health Equity and Antiracism in Healthcare Subcommittee positions AMIA to become a thought leader in addressing these topics at the intersection with informatics; serve as an organizational convener for education, research, and policy.
