As noted in my last message, the AMIA team and Informatics Summit Scientific Program Committee (SPC) are committed to offering you a virtual program in light of the recent cancellation of the AMIA 2020 Informatics Summit due to the coronavirus outbreak.

I am pleased to announce the AMIA 2020 Virtual Informatics Summit will take place March 23-26, the originally scheduled dates of the live meeting. While we are not able to accommodate all of the presentations that were originally selected, the meeting will consist of four plenary sessions as well as a cross-selection of presentations that are representative of the four tracks.

I encourage you to hold these dates on your calendar. The virtual sessions will take place 11:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. EDT each day.

The AMIA team and SPC leadership are working tirelessly to put together a science-packed four days. We expect to have a complete framework of the program early next week, as well as registration and logistical information.

In the meantime, please hold these four plenary sessions:

I am grateful we are able to showcase a portion of the incredible content we received for the Informatics Summit. Please note, all accepted content will still be available in the Summit Proceedings and papers/student papers will be archived in PubMed Central.

We appreciate your flexibility during this time. For those who have donated their registration fees to AMIA, we thank you for your generosity and ongoing support of the Informatics Summit.
