Health systems command unprecedented data, computation, and AI, yet learning at scale remains rare. This keynote asks a simple question: when a health system learns, what, exactly, is doing the learning? Peter Margolis draws on two decades of evidence from Learning Health Networks: continuously improving communities of clinicians, researchers, patients, and families that have transformed outcomes in chronic illness, patient safety, and community health.
