AMIA Committees are a vital link to the success of the association. Committees and volunteers help ensure the information and knowledge shared with the membership, public and media is timely and accurate.

AMIA’s volunteer structure is organized around policies and practices that promote ethics and transparency. AMIA aims to take advantage of the expertise and energies of our members and to promote opportunities for deeper membership engagement

AMIA is looking for thoughtful, forward-thinking individuals with diverse experiences. We invite you to get involved and usher in the next era in informatics.

New committee members are confirmed in early January.

When the process is complete, we will contact you. In the meantime, questions about the selection process or duties of each committee may be directed to Amanda Hanova.

AMIA revised its conflicts of interest policy to broaden its scope and processes to recognize and manage conflicts of interest among AMIA’s leaders and agents. Additional Opportunities

For additional opportunities please consider joining one or more working groups. AMIA Working Groups serve as networks in which current members can exchange information on a particular area of special interest in biomedical and health informatics.

Working Groups provide a way for members old and new to collaborate, meet new colleagues and become involved in the development of positions, issues, white papers, programs, and other activities that benefit the informatics community.

Each Working Group extends to an online community in which members discuss key issues and developments in the field.
