Inclusive Language and Contact Style Guidelines

Developed in partnership with Columbia University’s Justice Informatics Group, these guidelines promote respectful and accurate scientific communication. They help de-stigmatize language and ensure inclusivity in research and publications.

Journals

E2R supports evidence-based research that advances health equity in informatics. JAMIA, JAMIA Open and ACI include peer-reviewed publications authored by AMIA members and collaborators, including work on inclusive language, health data ethics, and workforce diversity. These articles reflect our commitment to scientific integrity and the pursuit of equitable solutions.
