Dr. Andrew King from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine presented his work on the Simple EMR System, a "rapidly deployable and readily customizable electronic medical record (EMR) user interface for supporting laboratory-based research studies of EMR design and usability."" It is written in Python, and is freely available under the GPL-3.0 License.

Dr. Ashish Joshi discussed efforts of the Global Health Informatics working group to engage learners in a variety of collaborative informatics activities, shared about students engaged in his own funded global health informatics projects, and presented opportunities for the Education working group to collaborate on efforts to enhance our shared knowledge of global health informatics education.

Dr. Bačkonja discussed the work she and her colleagues did to understand the design needs of individuals experiencing menopause and provide additional insights and take-aways not included in the corresponding JAMIA article.
