DEI Retention and Advancement Subcommittee develops volunteer leadership opportunities and pathways, mentorship and career guidance.
The Working Group Steering Committee identifies trends and interests in biomedical and health informatics and oversees the Working Groups who exist to address the interests of AMIA’s members.
DEI Communications Subcommittee promotes diverse informatics voices, research, and activities through scientific content and presentation.
DEI Recruitment Subcommittee focuses on external outreach to marginalized or historically excluded groups to build awareness of AMIA and the informatics profession.
DEI Advancement of Health Equity and Antiracism in Healthcare Subcommittee positions AMIA to become a thought leader in addressing these topics at the intersection with informatics; serve as an organizational convener for education, research, and policy.
The DEI Steering Committee guides and executes AMIA’s strategic goals and objectives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The LFAC leads the ongoing development and activities of the LEAD Fund and reports directly to the AMIA Board of Directors. The LEAD Fund is an initiative focused on creating a robust and sustainable fundraising program for AMIA.
The Audit Committee’s primary function is to assist the Board of Directors in fulfilling their financial and compliance oversight responsibilities.
