Moving toward a sociotechnical systems approach to continuous health information technology design: the path forward for improving electronic health record usability and reducing clinician burnout.
Based on our analysis of descriptions provided by four EHR vendors on their EHR usability efforts, we provide three recommendations aimed at improving the usability of health information technology and reducing clinician burnout.
