AMIA Supports JPHIT Response on ASTP/ONC’s HTI-5 Proposed Rule

AMIA signed on to support the Joint Public Health Informatics Taskforce (JPHIT) response to the Health Data, Technology, and Interoperability: ASTP/ONC Deregulatory Actions to Unleash Prosperity (HTI‑5) Proposed Rule. AMIA endorsed JPHIT’s recommendations to ensure that updates to the ONC Health IT Certification Program maintain strong support for public health data exchange, interoperability, and standards-based infrastructure. The joint response urges federal policymakers to preserve capabilities that enable public health agencies to access, use, and exchange health data effectively.
