AMIA responded to the latest USCDI Version 6 Draft. There are numerous recommendations including proposing ASTP/ONC create a roadmap to incorporate USCDI+ with future iterations of USCDI. AMIA also recommended incorporating Environmental Determinants of Health (EDOH) alongside Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) to provide a comprehensive view of factors influencing patient health. AMIA also suggests developing standardized implementation frameworks, including formal FHIR profiles and validated mapping tools, to ensure consistent adoption across health information systems.
