Coalition Calls on Congress to Preserve Federal Support for Research Publication
AMIA joined more than 160 scientific, medical, and scholarly organizations in calling on Congress to reject proposed restrictions on using federal research grants to cover publication costs. The coalition warns that limiting support for peer-reviewed publication would weaken scientific integrity, reduce the impact of federally funded research, hinder dissemination of new discoveries, and undermine U.S. leadership in biomedical research and innovation.
