Washington, D.C., February 28, 2024 – The American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) announces that Tanya Tolpegin, CEO, has departed the organization. Ms. Tolpegin has served in this role since 2021. The Board of Directors of AMIA is focused on continuing its mission to lead the way in transforming health care through trusted science, education, and the practice of informatics and has appointed Amanda Hanova, COO to serve as its interim CEO while the Board of Directors begins next steps in planning for a new CEO.
