Dr. Zhao is a leading scientist in translational bioinformatics and precision medicine. He has led or co-led many precision medicine projects and initiatives and founded Center for Precision Health in UTHealth School of Biomedical Informatics. He has published over 400 papers with an H-index of 74. He has contributed numerous novel methods and tools for biomarker discovery, prognosis, diagnosis and treatment of patients, and drug repurposing.
