Public Biography
Zhe He, PhD is Professor at Florida State University School of Information. He is also Director of the Institute for Successful Longevity, Director of the eHealth Lab at FSU, and Chair (2025-2026) of the American Medical Informatics Association’s Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining Working Group. As a biomedical informatician, his research integrates human-centered computing, artificial intelligence, and health data science to support clinical decision-making, patient engagement, and translational research. As Principal Investigator, his research has been supported by NIH, Eli Lilly and Company, Amazon, NVIDIA, and the Institute for Successful Longevity. He has published over 130 papers in leading biomedical informatics venues, including JAMIA, npj Digital Medicine, JBI, JMIR, AMIA, and MEDINFO. His papers received a number of prestigious recognitions including two Distinguished Paper Awards in AMIA 2015 and AMIA 2017, 2nd Place Best Student Paper Award of AMIA 2019 Annual Symposium. He is an elected fellow of the International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics and the American Medical Informatics Association.
