Public Biography
Xinsong Du, PhD, is a research fellow affiliated with Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. With extensive experience collaborating within interdisciplinary teams, he has undertaken various biomedical informatics research projects. His current focus lies in the innovative application of state-of-the-art AI, such as generative large language models, to tackle contemporary challenges in biomedicine. Dr. Du's first-authored papers have been awarded the Metabolomics Publication Award: Best Review Winner, featured on the cover of several journals such as The Lancet Discovery Science - eBioMedicine, and highlighted as Editor's Choice by Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association (JAMIA). Dr. Du serves as Associate Editor for Journal of Translational Medicine, and as reviewer for over 20 top-tier journals such as JAMIA, JAMA Neurology, JAMA Pediatrics, and The Lancet Discovery Science - eBioMedicine. In American Medical Informatics Association, Dr. Du serves as the Secretary of Natural Language Processing Working Group during 2025-2026.
