Public Biography
Dr. Hsu is Professor of Radiological Sciences and Bioengineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a biomedical informatician with 20 years of experience and over 80 peer-reviewed publications in data integration, artificial intelligence/machine learning, and imaging informatics. His research investigates the integration of multimodal clinical, imaging, and molecular data to advance cancer screening and precision oncology. He is proud to call the American Medical Informatics Association his professional home, having previously served on the governance committee and as a working group chair. He is co-chair of the Imaging Informatics conference of SPIE Medical Imaging and serves as a deputy editor for Radiology: Artificial Intelligence. He is on the editorial board for the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association and was a section co-editor for the International Medical Informatics Association Yearbook in Medical Informatics.
