Public Biography
V.G.Vinod Vydiswaran, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Learning Health Sciences, Medical School and Associate Professor of Information, School of Information, University of Michigan. He leads the Natural Language Processing for Health (NLP4Health) research group at University of Michigan. His research focuses on developing novel NLP and machine learning approaches to extract clinically relevant information and insights from health-related text corpora. Over the past thirteen years, he has served professionally on numerous NIH study sections, editorial boards of JAMIA and JASIST, and in numerous journal and conference program committees in medical informatics, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence.
