Public Biography
Dr. Tamara J. Winden, PhD, MBA, FAMIA, FHIMSS, is an executive leader and biomedical informaticist and human factors scientist with over 20 years of experience in clinical research informatics, healthcare IT, and translational research. She currently serves as Senior Program Manager, Health Informaticist, and Human Factors Specialist at Ben Allegretti Consulting, Inc., where she leads projects in system safety, human factors engineering, and health informatics. As an executive leader she has provided strategic guidance in clinical research operations, data governance, real-world data research, and user-centered design. Her career includes leadership roles as Vice President of Research and Innovation at Sanford Health, and Chief Research Informatics Officer at the University of Kansas Medical Center & Health System. A Fellow of AMIA and HIMSS, she is also a published researcher, book chapter author, and national presenter, recognized for advancing learning health systems, and innovative approaches to clinical and translational informatics.
