Public Biography
Swati is a CS Ph.D. student at Emory University and advised by Prof. Abeed Sarker. She is also an Graduate summer student at CHIP, Boston Children’s Hospital / Harvard Medical School, mentored by Prof. Maimuna Majumder. Before Emory, she was a Researcher at Cambridge University’s Computational and Biological Learning (CBL) Lab. Her Master’s at NSUT was supported by the AICTE PG Scholarship by Govt. of India and received a Vice-Chancellor’s Gold Medal for academic excellence. Her industry experience ranges from being a Software Engineer at Eaton Corp. to an intern R&D Senior Analyst at Accenture Tech Lab. Her research interests are in applied natural language processing framework for cohort specific health problems (migraine, breast cancer, SDOH, and others) using text-based datasets such as EHR, social media and patients' narratives.
