Public Biography
Dr. Sunit P. Jariwala is a practicing Allergy/Immunology clinician, a Professor of Medicine, the Director of Clinical and Research Innovation, and Medical Director of Digital Transformation at Montefiore Einstein in New York City. He serves as the Director of Allergy/Immunology Research and created several patient-facing mobile apps, which deliver personalized asthma education to both children and adults. He has been the Principal Investigator for 16 grants, and his mobile health projects have been awarded over $2.5 million in grant funding. To train the next generation of faculty innovators, he created the Montefiore Einstein Innovation Biodesign Training Program, which launched in July 2020. He is the Past Chair of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology's Health Informatics, Technology & Education Committee. Dr. Jariwala is a board-certified clinical informaticist through the American Board of Preventive Medicine.
