Public Biography
Dr. Rotholz attended medical school at the University of Arizona and residency at George Washington University and has been in the active practice of obstetrics and gynecology for 32 years in both private practice and academic environments. His work as a system physician informaticist for UC Health included leadership of the Ambulatory Sprint Optimization Program as well as leading the system-wide order set standardization project providing the opportunity to impact efficiency and the quality of care across multiple specialties and facilities across the healthcare system. Other responsibilities beyond clinical work included Chairmanship of the OBGYN service line from 2015-2023. Dr. Rotholz currently works as a Healthcare Informatics Advisor for TEGRIA Services Group advising the IT and Informatics leadership of a large healthcare system on their Epic Implementation project. He continues to provide clinical care as an inpatient OBGYN attending at UCHealth's flagship University Hospital.

Public Policy Committee
Member
The committee recommends advocacy issues and activities and identifies critical areas for AMIA's strategic advocacy engagement for Board approval. The committee works with AMIA’s policy consultant, staff, and Board to develop annual work plans which support the strategic directions set by the Board. The committee works with the staff in developing and reviewing draft submissions in response to requests for comments in support of AMIA positions and helps prepare position papers on matters of public policy.
