Dr. Mooney has developed approaches for predicting disease causing genetic variants, disease causing genes, and applied them to advance our understanding of many genetic diseases including inborn errors and cancer among many others. Created and/or led institutional translational bioinformatics and clinical research informatics centers at Indiana, the Buck Institute and University of Washington.
