Earned doctorate in medical informatics, significant leadership in clinical informatics, biomedical sciences, health administration, and population health with academic and administrative leadership experience, demonstrated experience in strategic planning, accreditation and implementation of programs, track record in health sciences teaching, scholarship, faculty and student mentoring, development activities, community engagement , ability to build relationships, work collaboratively and inter-professional education. Thorough understanding of health professions, excellence in teaching with a commitment to innovation, record of successful health science leadership and high impact publications. Research focuses on design and development of telemedicine technology, clinical informatics, health outcomes and policy. Has extensive international experience in healthcare, education and research works. Won several research awards, excellence in teaching awards, edited several books on telemedicine and published scientific papers in high impact journals such as Lancet, Nature.
