FAMIA stands for “Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association” and it recognizes the contributions and professional accomplishments of AMIA members who apply informatics skills and knowledge to their practice – be that in a clinical setting, a public or population health capacity, or as a clinical researcher.

The purpose of the E2R Committee is to develop, promote, and guide the implementation of strategic and operational goals related to enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion for all members as it relates to AMIA’s activities.

The LFAC leads the ongoing development and activities of the LEAD Fund and reports directly to the AMIA Board of Directors. The LEAD Fund is an initiative focused on creating a robust and sustainable fundraising program for AMIA.

To facilitate communication, collaboration, training, and networking for researchers working at the interfaces between bio-molecular and clinical data in order to advance the clinical use of genomics data through TBI, thereby furthering the practice of precision medicine
