Public Biography
I work at the interface of biomedical informatics and clinical genomics developing computational methods, tools and infrastructure that facilitate the translation of genomic data to clinical practice. My research centers on developing standards-based knowledge representation schemas for the pharmacogenomics (PGx) domain, including gene-drug interactions and clinical recommendations that are used in decision support algorithms, so that clinical genomic data can be integrated into the EHR, accessed by CDS rules, and delivered to providers to inform decisions. I have been a member of AMIA since 2008 and serve our community through a variety of roles. I am a member of several research networks (e.g., PGRN, eMERGE, ClinGen) and standards organizations (e.g., HL7).
