Paul D. Clayton is Professor and Director of the Center for Medical Informatics at Columbia University and Director of Clinical Information Systems at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. His early work was in pattern recognition in angiographic images, but over the past 15 years he has developed important new methods for acquiring data, and for automated decision making in cardiology and radiology.
