Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is the fourth leading cause of death worldwide, causing 3.5 million deaths1 in 2021. In the U.S. alone, the total economic cost of COPD for people over 45 years old is $24 billion per year.2
Improving outcomes in COPD requires a multifaceted approach—one that combines scientific innovation with system-level transformation.
