JCO Clinical Cancer Informatics is a premier journal for research on the application of biomedical informatics to cancer care. The journal publishes studies on how informatic methods are used to analyze and solve real-world cancer problems across provider, patient, and caregiver perspectives.
Areas of focus include but are not limited to:
- Artificial intelligence and advanced analytics: Core applied research in machine learning, natural language processing, large language models, multimodal fusion, and agent simulation
- Informatics platforms: EHRs, data repositories/registries and data models/architecture
- Mathematical modeling: patient-specific models, tumor growth models, virtual clinical trials, mechanistic models, simulation models, and digital twins
- Patient-facing informatics: portals, telehealth, and wearables
- Regulatory frameworks: governance, ethics, health equity, and public policy
Our scope covers translational and clinical methods, applications and Resource Reports with an emphasis on clinically relevant work that will lead to improvements in clinical operations and/or patient outcomes across all aspects of the cancer continuum, from prevention to diagnosis to treatment to survivorship.
