Public Biography
With more than 40 years in healthcare, Dr. Nancy Beale brings deep expertise across clinical care, operations, consulting, and health IT. Named the 2019 HIMSS-ANI Nursing Informatics Leader of the Year, she has held executive leadership roles throughout her career, including Vice President of Clinical Systems and Integration at NYU Langone Health, Vice President of Clinical Informatics and Chief Nursing Informatics Officer at Catholic Health Services on Long Island, and President and Chief Nursing Informatics Officer at Telemetrix and Affiliates. She also served as Clinical Lead for Implementation at Epic Systems across the nation at some of Epic's largest and most recognized clients.
As an executive leader, Dr. Beale has guided organizations to HIMSS Stage 6 and Stage 7 designations, the HIMSS Davies Award, and multiple innovation partnerships. Her work includes building an offshore clinical informatics partnership and leading the clinical systems implementation for a new, fully digital hospital in Manhattan.
Dr. Beale holds a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a focus on clinical technology adoption and a minor in human factors and design thinking. She earned her master's degree in nursing from Loyola University of Chicago, with an emphasis in health systems and healthcare informatics; she is board-certified in nursing informatics and a fellow in the American Medical Informatics Association.
