Professor Peleg is a renowned researcher in clinical guideline-based decision support, who spent six years at Stanford University. She received AMIA's New Investigator Award for work on the GLIF3 guideline modeling language. Her sustained contribution to biomedical informatics is evidenced by 94 papers with over 2600 citations (h-index 26). Being an expert in the field, she has been invited to write review papers, join four editorial boards, chair an international conference (AIME), and is a member of AMIA's Award Committee. She has been promoting biomedical informatics within the Business Process Management community and has united it with the AI in medicine community in a series of joint workshops. She is leading a large European project with over 50 participants from 5 countries and 13 institutions.
