Dr. Were has 15 years of experience in global health informatics (HI). His mHealth solution, mUzima, is deployed in four countries. He has over 70 peer-reviewed publications and has mentored more than 30 post-graduates. He established a Biomedical Informatics Institute in Kenya, and currently leads education initiatives in global HI.
