Kathryn J. Hannah is Professor of Nursing at the University of Calgary, Calgary, Alberta. She has been involved with computers in nursing since 1974. Dr. Hannah was instrumental in the implementation of computerassisted instruction and is the author of several textbooks and numerous articles on computers in health care, nursing, and medical informatics. She is currently Vice President of the Canadian Organization for the Advancement of Computers in Health (COACH) and Chairman of the International Medical lnformatics Association (IMIA) Nursing Working Group.
