Public Biography
Jeff Williamson serves as the Senior Vice President of Education and Member Services. He is responsible for the design of education content to amplify AMIA’s authoritative voice as members utilize informatics expertise to transform care and improve health. Jeff also focuses on workforce development and strengthening the understanding of the health informatics profession. Jeff has over 25 years of experience in education and policy through work in associations along with his early career roles in the legislative and executive branches of federal government. The Senior Vice President of Education and Member Services oversees AMIA’s education programs and academic relations. The education portfolio including several annual national conferences, digital education courses, medical and health informatics board examination review programs, accreditation, and continuing professional development CME and CNE. He reports to the CEO and participates in Board of Director meetings. Jeff Williamson received a B.S. in Education from the University of Vermont (UVM) and M.Ed. in Educational Psychology-Social Foundations from the University of Virginia (UVA). He lives in Crozet, Virginia located just west of Charlottesville.
