Public Biography
Jeff Williamson serves as the Senior Vice President, Education and Interprofessional Activities. He is responsible for the design of education content to amplify AMIA’s authoritative voice as its members utilize informatics expertise to transform care delivery and improve health. Jeff also focuses on interprofessional activities and workforce development to strengthen public understanding of the informatics profession.
Jeff has over 25 years of experience in education and policy through work in associations along with his early career roles in the legislative and executive branches of federal government. He oversees AMIA’s education portfolio including several annual national conferences, digital education courses, medical and health informatics board examination review programs, accreditation, and continuing professional development, and interprofessional activities.
Jeff Williamson received a B.S. in Education from the University of Vermont (UVM) and M.Ed. in Educational Psychology-Social Foundations from the University of Virginia (UVA). He lives in Crozet, Virginia located in the Charlottesville area.
