Jeffrey Williamson, M.Ed.

Jeff Williamson is a longtime leader in health informatics, digital health, education, and workforce development. He spent much of his career at the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), where he served in a series of senior leadership roles, most recently as Senior Vice President. During his time at AMIA, Jeff worked closely with boards, senior leaders, and professional communities to shape strategy, develop education and workforce initiatives, build partnerships, and advance the informatics profession. His work brought together people and organizations across healthcare, biomedical research, academia, government, and industry in the U.S. and internationally. Following his departure from the staff in 2026, he was recognized with lifetime membership in AMIA. Jeff received a B.S. in Education from the University of Vermont and an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology–Social Foundations from the University of Virginia. He is a dual U.S.–Canadian citizen and now lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.
