Dr. Kharrazi has in-depth expertise with health information technology and population health analytics. His expertise includes assessing the needs and impact of health IT on care delivery, designing interoperable platforms for population health, and developing new methods for risk stratification. He has led several projects resulting in population health IT solutions that provide direct population‐based decision support to healthcare providers, insurers, and public health agencies. Hadi Kharrazi has pioneered the science of population health informatics (PopHI). He introduced PopHI to the informatic community in 2012 (NLM-funded), and since have extensively published on theory, framework, data sources, and methods of PopHI. A rapidly growing field of informatics, PopHI integrates clinical, social, and public health informatics.
