Public Biography
As Nemours Children's Health's Chief Research Informatics Officer, I am passionate about driving advancements in health treatments and improvements in health outcomes through integration and novel analyses of health data sets including electronic health records, vital records, genomics data, and community measures representing social determinants. My primary research focus is in the domain of perinatal health including prevention of infant mortality and improving outcomes for mothers and children impacted by the opioid epidemic. These interests include a concentration on the hospital setting where high-risk children receive treatment but also extend to the community with an increased emphasis on prediction and prevention of poor outcomes among at-risk populations. I also aim to convene and facilitate highly collaborative, interdisciplinary, clinical and population health research spanning a broad range of health outcomes, to support the evaluation of public health interventions, and to inform policy makers.
