Public Biography
Biosketch Balu Bhasuran is a fourth-year Post-Doctoral Fellow at the eHealth Lab in the School of Information (iSchool), College of Communication & Information at Florida State University, working under Prof. Zhe He. Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher at The Bakar Computational Health Sciences Institute (BCHSI), University of California, San Francisco, under Dr. Vivek Rudrapatna.
He holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics and currently focusing on the automatic extraction of information from clinical and biomedical data using machine learning algorithms and techniques. As a data scientist, his interests include large language models, causal inference, literature-based discovery, network visualization, knowledge graphs, and the fairness and explainability of machine learning models.
