Historic ACMI Biography
Dr. Moen has advanced the integration of social care services and biomedical informatics through over a decade of multi-national research and demonstration projects, leadership in the Norwegian Informatics Society and IMIA Nursing Informatics Working Group, and as President of the European Federation of Medical Informatics. As a nurse informaticist, Dr. Moen knows firsthand how the social health of community-dwelling residents influences their overall well-being. Since 2002 Moen and her colleagues have or continue to conduct a series of projects to identify and create innovative informatics responses to the health needs of elders or chronically ill.
