Andrew Lu, MSc, RN, is a second-year PhD student in the Nursing–Artificial Intelligence and Data Science track at the Center for Data Science, Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, Emory University. He also serves as a Student Editorial Board Member of the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association (JAMIA). His current research centers on CardioAI, with a focus on leveraging machine learning and ECG data to detect myocardial infarction (MI) and integrating ECG with CCT for heart failure detection. Prior to his doctoral training, Andrew built a strong foundation in psychiatric and clinical nursing research, contributing to peer-reviewed publications in journals including the Journal of Psychiatric Research, Digital Health, and BMC Nursing. A licensed registered nurse with data science training, he is committed to advancing AI-driven solutions that bridge clinical nursing practice and precision cardiovascular care.
