Nursing Informatics Innovators: Debra Konicek
Managing Director of the College of American Pathologists' (CAP) Professional Services division, is responsible for the development, sales, and delivery of consulting services related to health information management, technology, and terminology. Ms. Konicek, a senior health care consultant with more than 30 years of clinical and electronic health record (EHR) implementation experience, leads the team responsible for assisting with the global implementation of terminology standards for organizations worldwide. Ms. Konicek is a an international speaker and has presented, as well as authored many articles, on topics related to health care standards, clinical informatics, and terminology issues specific to EHRs. Debra participates and has held a variety of leadership roles within groups that study and frame standards for terminology development and implementation.
