We are no longer accepting nominations for 2022.
Guidelines and Instructions
- Submit the nominee application through the submission software (Smarter Select*)
- Multiple nominators of the same nominee are asked to combine their nomination into one submission and appoint one nominator to submit the nomination and be the contact.
- Multiple nominations may be made by one nominator
- Once you begin your nomination, you may save and return to finish the application
Required Information
Information you will need for the nomination form:
- Name, title, organization, and email address of the nominee
- Prepare a short statement (max 500 words) answering the following question:
What do you consider the nominee’s most important contributions to the field of biomedical informatics? - Prepare a short statement (max 500 words) answering the following question:
Why do you think the nominee should receive the 2022 Morris F. Collen Award?
Important Dates
January 12 | Call for Nominations opens |
February 14 | Deadline for nominations (Part I) |
March 9 | Notification letters of 1st round results sent to nominators |
March 25 | Deadline for final nominee’s nomination package (Part II) (for those nominees that have been selected to move forward to the final review) |
November 5-9 | Presentation of the Collen Medal at the AMIA Annual Symposium (exact date TBD) |
