The Master's in Applied Clinical Informatics (MS-ACI) offers rigorous and engaging training that equips professionals to apply informatics principles to the challenges facing the workplace. This 36-credit-hour degree, completed partly remotely, is designed for working health professionals who continue working while completing their degree. The blended format includes two days of face-to-face sessions on Vanderbilt’s campus at the beginning of each year; virtual synchronous course meetings once a week; and asynchronous components, such as lectures, lab projects, discussion posts with the cohort. Trainees complete 240 hours of practical experience and a mentored capstone project to put concepts from class into practice.
