The 100% online Master of Health Informatics and Information Management (MHIIM) program may be completed in 24 months on a part-time basis. The program prepares healthcare professionals for leadership roles in a healthcare system that increasingly relies on information technology. The master’s program offers two tracks: Health Informatics and Health Information Management.
The Health Informatics (HI) track provides students with knowledge and skills in the areas of project management; databases and computer science; data analytics and visualization; human-computer interaction; information security; epidemiology and public health; and leadership. Internships are available as a capstone option.
The department also offers a fully online Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Health Informatics. Semester credit hours earned in the certificate program with a grade of “B” or higher are transferable to the MHIIM.
