There are two Master of Science options: MS Plan A and MS Plan B. Plan A is research-oriented, and is designed primarily for health professionals who are seeking additional training in health informatics. Plan B is course-oriented, and is intended for non-health professionals who wish to be trained in this area but need additional coursework to become fully qualified. The coursework and credit amount for both plan is the same, however Plan A requires a 10 credit thesis while Plan B requires a 4 credit final project. Both programs are 36 credits that can be completed in as little as two years at a full-time pace.
