The School of Health Professions was established in July 2025 as part of the Zuckerman College of Public Health. With a focus on health professions and health science design, the school is committed to training students and developing a workforce of health professionals to serve the needs of Arizona’s communities with compassionate and culturally sensitive care. 

The Certificate in Digital Health and Health Informatics (DHHI) is designed to enhance employability, help students gain knowledge and skills towards professional certification exams. This program offers a comprehensive understanding of digital health, focusing on the integration and interoperability of health information systems.

Students will gain expertise in systems design, human-centered approaches, and the evaluation and implementation of health technologies. Key highlights include courses on digital health fundamentals, socio-technical approaches to health systems design, and biomedical information exchange. This certificate equips students with the skills needed to excel in the rapidly evolving field of digital health, making them valuable assets to healthcare organizations and technology companies.
