The Clinical Informatics Fellowship in the Department of Medicine at UMass Chan Medical School, has a close working relationships with the UMass Memorial Health clinical system, other departments and programs throughout UMass Chan and the larger University of Massachusetts system. Our mission is to train the next generation of clinical informaticists to apply information technology toward advancing and transforming patient care, enhancing patient and staff safety, and improving clinical outcomes. We will accomplish this mission by recruiting trainees with backgrounds in internal medicine and other specialties who will be given rigorous training in clinical informatics, quality improvement, research methods, and other core disciplines. Fellows will also work in interdisciplinary teams.
Fellows will be trained using a combination of in person and virtual learning. Training will include:
