The Fellowship in Clinical Informatics at Glen Cove Hospital, a program of the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, develops physician leaders in clinical informatics. Its core mission is to empower fellows to effectively leverage technology for improving health outcomes, addressing health equity gaps and enhancing both clinician and patient experience across diverse health care settings.

To support this, the fellowship integrates established practices from the Family Medicine Residency Program, including faculty development sessions on workplace belonging, equitable engagement, inclusive growth, and people-centered approaches. Fellows will also participate in Northwell Health's broader inclusive practices and belonging initiatives, guided by the GME director of diversity and health equity.

Our commitment to EDI extends to the recruitment process: interview panels comprise diverse members, applications are scored using a standardized approach and all interviewing faculty complete unconscious bias training. Interview days also showcase the sponsoring institution's diverse environment and its dedicated EDI programs.
