Houston Methodist Hospital, Department of Pathology and Genomic Medicine, in Houston, TX, affiliate of Weill Cornell Medical College and Texas A&M College of Medicine, offers an ACGME accredited fellowship in Clinical Informatics, for physicians who have completed residency training. Strengths of the program include the central role of academic informaticians in management of clinical laboratory data, as well as the close collaboration with faculty in research and scholarship efforts. Didactics and hands-on experiential learning will involve a wide variety of areas, including but not limited to electronic health records, laboratory information systems, databases, computing fundamentals, systems design, and project management.
