Through the AMIA 25x5 Pitch Event, the 25x5 Health IT Vendors Workstream sought concrete ideas from the broader health care community and public that aligned with the 25x5 priorities. These ideas will be included in a roadmap with the support of AMIA’s 25x5 community.
The pitches will inform which areas in the 25x5 priorities can be placed in the near-term roadmap as they are already a work in progress. Pitches addressing burden reduction not already on the priority list will be added to the roadmap. Priority categories that did not receive any pitches will be placed on the roadmap in the future, pending an environmental scan.
Round One included 16 written pitches that were posted for public review, evaluation, and ranking. The top five finalists presented a 3-minute pitch to a panel of judges with significant experience developing or using EHR technology. Judges’ criteria included adherence to smart objective principles, impact, feasibility, scalability, and potential outcomes.
The AMIA 25x5 Task Force would like to thank everyone who submitted a pitch for sharing their ideas, innovations and current capabilities aimed to reduce documentation burden.
